What happens if you bring 20 musicians and a dog, some people who had learning disabilities / autistic people, some people who didn’t have labels, experimental and jazz musicians from Cafe OTO , Total Refreshment Center?

Put them

into 3 random groups on 3 different days and jammed together

We didn’t go in with any tunes

We jammed ,we connected

I wanted everyone to be welcome

I sat on a magic carpet and invited everyone to come on a journey

This work came from Robyn’s Rocket, a 5 year residency at Cafe OTO which brings together people like Charles Hayward , Maggie Niccolls, Alabaster De Plume, Danalogue ,with bands and artists from the learning disability / autism scene like The Carbonators , Electric Fire.

Robyn is a creative associate at Heart n Soul who are part of the learning disability / autism scene running jam’s bringing people with and without learning disability / Autistic / Non Autistic people together . These music jams started during a residency at Wellcome collection in 2019 .
